- You have a valid passport or travel document;
- You have enough money to pay for your tuition fees, and return transportation back to your country of nationality;
- You are a law-abiding citizen with no criminal record, which is usually demonstrated by providing a police certificate;
- Be in good health (you may, in some circumstances, be required to complete a medical exam);
- You will leave Canada at the end of your studies.

Sometimes applications can take a while to process, so it helps to be prepared early.
